Reuters reports that a Spanish bar is encouraging clients to insult its staff and offering free drinks for original or hilarious abuse. "When you come in after work, you can say swear at them and call them bastard or imbecile," said client Antonio Ossa.

National Geographic has come up with a list of Tours of a Lifetime and three Canadian adventures have made the selection. Included are a heli tour of the Rockies a CapeRace Cultural Adventure around Newfoundland and local Inuit tours of Nunavut.

This week it was reported that ‘Best Job in the World’ winner Ben Southall is a "whinging pom." Southall, who will be paid $100 000 to feed turtles, snorkel and blog about it while living in a luxury Queensland three-bedroom villa said he would pine for England's long summer days while abroad. “Despite the weather, I love summer in Britain- the festivals and outdoor activities," he said.” In fairness he was responding to a reporters question asking what he would miss while fulfilling his caretaker duties.

One festival many would be happy to miss is the U.K.'s nettle eating contest. Participants must chew and swallow as many of the stinging thistles as they can. Click here to watch the video and gleam some thistle eating tips for those barmy enough to try.
